This is a single estate coffee, all of the coffee is grown and processed at the Abana Estate farm.
Abana Translates to “our fathers” (Arabic). Their name pays homage to the deep roots, rich heritage and origins of wild arabica coffee that traces to the heart of Ethiopia.
They believe that their work to produce the best specialty coffee is as fundamentally important as the positive impact they make in the community.
-The Abana Estate demonstrates sustainable business practices by paying fair wages and respecting all partners. They implement the latest coffee education and trainings on picking, sorting, and different processing methods to ensure the ever improving quality.
They focus on the environment by utilizing water efficient machinery and preserving the beautiful forest in which they work. They also carry out impactful social programs including facilitating medical projects, investing in infrastructure and much more.
The name Anderacha comes from a river that boarders the Estate. In remote areas rivers are the life line. This is where people get water to drink, cook, wash clothes, hang out and more. Being in a high altitude rainforest working with and preserving the environment is vital to the success of the farm and the community.
The Washed Anderacha lot was uniquely processed, by utilizing a cherry fermentation prior to processing which contributed to sweetness, complexity, a body with depth and incredible balance.
